JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Outside of the restaurant. That's our little car on the right.

Delivery van? It has the same logo face as on the lanterns inside. We don't know the name of this fabulous restaurant . . .

I love this highway sign in Yanai. It shows 2 ways to get to Iwakuni.

On the way home, we stopped at the "new" beach area that opened a couple of years ago built on reclaimed land from the sea. We wanted to view the full moon & make a potty stop. When I went in, there were no lights, but as I went through the doorway, a light turned on. Then as I went further in, lights turned on wherever I went -- motion detectors! Pretty cool and economical. As I sat there, I began to wonder how long I had before it got dark again . . . apparently long enough, because all the lights were still on when I left. Here's fresh flowers by the sink.

Here's the beautiful full moon. What a great day & it was fun to be "out" again! Japan never disappoints.
