Halloween Day

I met Stan for lunch at the Food Court & we saw many HS students who still enjoy dressing up for Halloween!

After lunch, we biked over to the Elementary School, where the annual Halloween Parade will start soon. All the students dress up as book characters & carry their books.

Here they come!
We saw one sweet little princess who obviously wanted to wear a different costume -- she kept raising her hands and making scary monster noises!

Paraders showing me their books.

Parade watchers.

We saw this little guy a few days later in the Exchange, and he was still wearing his costume. His mom said he hadn't wanted to take it off since Halloween!
Meanwhile -- back at home, we're getting ready for all the trick-or-treaters we're expecting.

Bob, in his usual place in the living room.

And out in the hallway.

We had huge crowds on our floor! (I think our building has some sort of reputation . . .)
Although trick-or treaters are only allowed to visit between 5 & 7 PM, we had so many that we ran out of candy at 6:15! Determined to keep going, I began to raid the cupboard of individual applesauce snackpacks, microwave popcorn, Crystal Lite, canned cokes (which the bigger kids were thrilled to get!) and we made it until 7 PM!

In the hallway, looking toward Ingrid's.

The little box behind this pumpkin was motion-activated & made scary noises when the T-or-T'ers came near.

Ingrid & Jim's Halloween Party 2007

In our house before the party, Stan's the Old Man & the "C" -- that sounds about right . . .

Margie's a Tropical Depression (holding bottles of Prozac)
Arriving at the downstairs party room, we're greeted with all sorts of scary characters . . .

The Japanese lady in kimono told Stan she's wearing her "party clothes."
