JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Japanese Garden Park near Hikari

Here we are at the park near Hikari along Hwy 188. A palm tree is blocking the sign, and I can't remember it's name. But the first time we came here (5/27/07) the hillside as you go in on the right side was covered with yellow flowers, and thousands of roses were in bloom. This park is famous for their ume (plum) trees covering the opposite hillside, but they were mostly gone today, although a few still had blossoms.

I like this cute wooden sign near the entrance.

Look at the cute owl made of wood.

And other cute little wood animals around it . . .
