JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! We've left the park & are driving back toward Iwakuni. Cute little Christian church on Hwy 188.

I love this rock along the highway! The sea is to our right as we return to Iwakuni. That round highway sign says, "no passing"

Look how the road follows the curves of the seawall.

We're hungry & heading for sushi, but Nancy suggested that we stop at the same restaurant where we ate when Teresa & Danny were visiting from NYC. Eldon was sick that day and did not join us. So, it was open & we decide to stay. Stan has been talking about the fabulous flounder he had last time. Our waiter has brought some flatfish (flounder) for the boys to pick from.

We're sitting at a table, but there is also Japanese-style tatami seating available.
