JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! We saw a lot of this peacock (?) design while walking around.

Wow -- can you see it here in the brick on this building? Amazing! How'd they do that?

Interesting artwork outside a shop. This town had lots of interesting shops, but many were closed. We've got to come back here another day . . .

I like this interesting design on the roof tiles.

A little canal along the front of the shops. Oh -- there was a beautiful Christian church just across the street, but I guess I didn't get a picture . . . Stan said there was a "guard cat" that hollered at him when we approached the gate. Here's a fabulous pic someone else took -- check it out: http://gijsbert.org/photos/html/2006-04-japan/2006-04-10/2006-04-10.152842.html
