JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Cooking our veggies first. What an efficient way to cook & we can get them as done as we like. I like my onions done, but my beef rare.

I'm finished cooking & ready to eat. Don't know if we're supposed to cook as we go, but I chose the "all at one time" approach. The beef was billed as "Hiroshima sirloin" and the "seasonal" seafood was 1 shrimp, 1 sea snail & 1 piece of squid. The veggies were cabbage, onion, pumpkin, green pepper & mushroom (look how beautifully it's cut with a star on the top!). We also had a bowl of rice (of course), a small salad and a glass of wine. It was delicious & enough to fill me up. Of course, we each had our own, & Stan said his was enough for him as well.
