Ingrid's ready to eat. Napkins are seldom available in Japan, and you do not place them on your lap. Our waiter told us to put them here. This was to keep the food from splattering onto our clothes while it cooks. You get it as done as you like. . . Notice all the wood behind Ingrid. We sat on the top floor of this multi-story log cabin, which was built by the owner, who is also the chef, 15 years ago. His son was our waiter & gave us lots of info, as well as perfect service!
