JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! MCAS Spring Bazaar and more . . .

4/3 - Beautiful rainbow out over the sea - just across the street, after a big spring storm.

4/7 - Spring Bazaar in the sports court at Ironworks Gym. Nice, but not the same as the old (now long gone) Mac Dome . . .

I like this very cool, huge dragon - 2012 is the Year of the Dragon.

Lots of goodies . . .

Beautiful sakura (cherry) tree in full bloom in front of MCAS Iwakuni Commissary.

That's Stan riding in front of me heading toward the front gate. We've decided to ride out to Sako's for lunch. It's the last tiny doorway on the left, just before 4 Corners.

These are their famous YUMMY hand-dipped onion rings. And of course my iced coffee. Sako's is an Iwakuni legend, but is now under new ownership. It's really about the same - except it's all new and clean inside. And the food is still VERY delicious. . .

World-famous BLT . . . I can only eat half & always get the other half wrapped to go.

Looking toward the bar & kitchen behind the noren (curtains).

Huge full moon from my BR balcony . . . it was especially pretty this month. Happy Spring everyone!
