JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Driving under the low tunnel - our shortcut back to the Monzen gate from Hwy 188. This is of course a two-lane road.

Driving on the back road that cuts through flooded lotus fields. In the distance, you can see the mid-rise buildings on base. This is a nice shortcut that avoids all the traffic on Hwy 188.

Back home, I've spread out my treasure from the sea - sea glass & sea pottery, all sanded smooth from the waves along the Seto Inland Sea . . .

Closer view of an old porcelain insulator, one perfect tiny starfish, and a few small shells. My gifts from the sea!
