JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Trash receptacles are pretty full now. Although there were probably thousands of people here today, there will very little trash left around to be cleaned up.

One last picture of us in a traffic mirror surrounded by cherry blossoms before we get back on our bikes. Toshiko & Ray, who used to live in our building, came by on their bikes and we talked a few minutes, but I forgot to take their picture. It was nice to see them again. He retired and they moved off base last year. If you look closely at this picture (you can double-click to enlarge, but arrow back), you will see that I'm holding my big pink bag. Toward the end of this posting, you will find out WHY this is important . . .

On the car bridge looking down at the cherries and blue tarps below.

Kintai Bridge, cherries along the river, and wooden boats.

People in the boats seem to be having a good time!
