Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Standing on a bridge looking down at a waterfall.

Oh look at the circular carvings on the rocks!

I was amazed at this lady's coat & she told me it was called a "Mama coat" - what a great idea!

Double blossoms in front of a large rock.

Re: the mama coat - I had one of those when I was pregnant - it was a regular raincoat that had a panel you could zip into it when you got really big to expand the bottom of the front. When you had a baby, you could zip the same panel in the other way (or else it had another zipper - I can't remember exactly) that expanded it in the top of the front so you could wear baby in a snuggie. I never ended up doing that because I couldn't get the hang of the snuggie. But it was a neat jacket!
