JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! We decided to eat at the train station in Hiroshima. There are LOTS of good restaurants here, so we're looking for one. Lunch specials on display at one place.

These seaweed wrapped rice balls have a chunk of fried chicken (maybe?) on top, so they look to me like two Japanese people in black kimono. Sometimes, the Emperor and Empress are displayed like this.

We decided on this place, but there were lots of choices. We're sharing an Asahi beer for lunch.

Looking over the counter at where the food is being grilled. That looks like asparagus.
