JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! The elevator goes down to the 2nd floor to the men's bath, but then I had to take the stairs down to the women's bath on the first floor. See that sign?

Looking into an underground garden at the bottom of the stairs.

This curtain leads to the women's bath.

Inside was a large locker area, potty areas, dressing area, hairdryers, lotions, etc. and then through a sliding glass door into another very large room that holds the hot bath with stairs going down into the water. Around two sides are showers where you sit & wash, with shampoo & body wash provided. The other 2 walls are glass and look out into a private garden. Here's a picture I found on a website of our hotel. Notice the beautiful bamboo ceiling:

Sorry I could not get more pictures, but for obvious reasons, cameras are not allowed inside. It was beautiful and relaxing! After my bath, I walked back up to the 2nd floor to find Stan. This floor is where several bars are located . . .
