JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! And there it goes! That streetcar didn't make any stops - just rode by with Santa waving at everyone outside. We're standing at the streetcar stop which is in the center of this very wide city street - how practical! And it makes getting around Hiroshima so easy!

Back at the Hiroshima train station, we're up on the restaurant/bar floor looking for something to eat. This window has a display in honor of the famous Hiroshima Carp professional baseball team.

Looking at plastic food in restaurant windows. If there's not an Engish menu available, or no pictures on the menu, we can bring the server out here & point to what we want. The food always looks just exactly like the plastic replica.

How about a nice fish head soup?

We decided on a restaurant & are seated. Fresh flowers along with our condiments on the table.
