JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Interesting bridge over a river.

Can you see how the ends of the bridge railing are curved up -- like a Japanese roof?

We're getting close to home now. We've changed trains in Hiroshima for our short train ride to Iwakuni. Our little car was still waiting at the station. No one was there to take our money when we left, so Stan stuffed 2000 yen into a drop hole at the closed office. When we arrived back in Iwakuni, there were already closed. Don't you love the "honor system?" Pam met us for a sushi stop on our way home. Its always good to be home!
