When we first got on this final train at Tsuruga, it was empty, but it was full by the time we departed. It was a local that stopped at EVERY station, but it was air-conditioned and very comfortable, so it was fine -- just slow.

Whew, it's been a long day & a lot of trains . . .
Finally, Obama is the next stop after 5.5 hours of train travel!

And here we are! ! !
