Main course -- the tenderest beef you can imagine, with mushroom sauce & a small scoop of mashed potato & a small peeled tomato. I was mostly full by now, but I did my best . . .
And of course, dessert: fresh, ripe fig, small piece of cheesecake, small scoops of lime & orange sherbet. The cake & sherbets are homemade by the charming Mama-san of this restaurant. Fortunately, I had saved a small place for dessert . . . delicious!
The Birthday Girl with fresh flowers & the Papa-san of Bluebird behind her. Although his wife does all the cooking & baking, he was our very attentive server tonight. What a great meal and fun evening!
