JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Hirata Fruit Farm & Miyoshi Winery Tour

It's 8 AM on a mid-September Saturday morning & we're going on a bus tour today to a fruit farm to pick grapes -- http://apike.ca/japan_hirata.html -- and then to a winery where they make them into wine -- http://apike.ca/japan_miyoshi.html. We can eat all the grapes we want & we'll have lunch & then taste wine at the winery. Sounds like fun!

Yumi ("You Me") is our guide today. We're got our coffee & we're ready to go.

We're headed toward Miyoshi, which is north & east of us in Hiroshima Prefecture. It looks a little hazy today as we cross a river. Those are the factories of Otake.
