JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Some of the beautiful landscaping outside the hotel.

Most of the bathing areas are so private, that you can't even see how to get there, but this is the entrance to the family bathing area below the lobby. You go inside this building, undress, wash & then go to the private bath areas to soak. All the bathing areas have beautiful views, but none of the soaking areas can be seen from any windows. It's very private. Of course, no cameras are allowed, but I'm including one picture from their website and a link, so you can see how beautiful the baths are!

One of the outdoor infinity pools at sunset, overlooking the city of Beppu & the sea. Here's the link to see more: http://www.suginoi-hotel.com/english/spa.html Check it out but don't forget to "back arrow" to return to the blog.

One last potty stop before we leave the hotel.

Wall panel that operates the fancy potty (I REALLY want to buy one of these to take back to the US!)

I have it on good authority that there are such things in fancy houses in America, too... I find it a little unnerving myself, but I'm sure I could get used to it, especially for the heated option in the middle of a cold night...
