December-January US Trip
Most of you know that our son Larry and his wife Lisa (and 2-1/2 year old Andy) were expecting twin girls at the end of December. Lisa was put on bedrest around Thanksgiving, so it was decided that I would get to Nashville ASAP to help out. Fortunately, I had shopped and shipped Christmas presents early, so I was ready to go when the call came. Since Stan had a conference in Tokyo the first week in December, we rode the train up together and I flew out of Tokyo Narita. I planned to be gone about two months, and I couldn’t wait to see everyone! When I changed planes in Chicago, it was 15 degrees and it wasn’t a whole lot warmer in Nashville. I spent the first week settling in and getting Andy to school. I was fortunate enough to be there to see Andy’s Christmas program at his school and attend Larry’s work party at a local country club. That weekend, I drove down to Birmingham to see Holly perform in Cinderella -- http://www.centerstage-productions.org/ It was great timing for me! Holly played Portia, the red-headed stepsister to perfection!
