JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! 2 different kind of palm trees near Hwy 188 are a good landmark to find Kanmuriyama Park in Hikari City.

Gorgeous! There are more roses this year - they are the featured flower this month.

Variegated pink rose - very fragrant.

Inside the gift shop, I found these bright-colored puffer fish - their spines are created with toothpicks - how clever!

Julie wanted to try Japanese ice cream & found an ice cream totally encased inside the cone, so no mess - no drip!

And she says it's delicious!

Back outside, I found a fabulous spider & its intricate web . . .

Little boy pushing his sister up a pole. They were taking turns.

Pink waterlily in a pond.

Look close . . . can you see Julie at the top of the stone waterfall?
