JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Highway 188 - narrow with buildings close to the road, but such a beautiful drive!

Frequent small neighborhood marinas on the sea side.

Windmills atop hillsides facing the sea.

Closer view . . .

Yanai's goldfish logo adorn this structure - water tower, maybe?

Car dealerships always have the most beautiful flower gardens!

Wow - wonder what caused that interesting cloud?

Driving along Hwy 188.

We arrived about 9:30 after our usual potty & coffee stop at McDonald's in Yanai. Here's the pagoda at the temple grounds where the Hikari Market is held. This is such a beautiful, peaceful place and it's a gorgeous clear morning.
