Day After Typhoon Roke 9/22/11

Beautiful blue skies the next morning over the trees outside our window.


Closer view shows a bird (mourning dove I think) resting in the tree. I'll bet he's glad it's all over too.


All the rental bikes made it through the storm as well (ours are one of the blue ones & the silver one).


Bless his heart! Stan's walking them both back to the rental place on base. We didn't get to use them much . . . Since we're leaving tomorrow (yay!) I spent the day doing laundry & packing. I can't wait to return to quiet, peaceful Western Japan!


Stan took this picture near the school where his meetings were held at Camp Zama. Yikes! It was worse here than I realized!
