JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Small stone bridge over small canal.

Engraved stone monument.

We saw a few people gathering here at Yasaka Shrine, so we decided to stop & see if the dancers would perform here soon.

This huge tree must be many hundreds of years old!

Little girl playing with the tape that marks the area we should stay behind.

Large orange torii gate marks the entrance to Yasaka Shrine.

Closer view

Japanese amateur photographers anxiously await their opportunity for the perfect photo or video. This group of retired men made me think of my dad . . . he would have loved everything about Japan.
