JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! We were just telling Linda & Jack about how we've almost always seen a bridal couple here having pictures made in this beautiful garden, when we see another one just entering the gate!

Groom & Bride under a red parasol. It's a warm, sunny, early summer day, but not yet too hot.

From the rear, you can see her ornate obi (sash) and the back of her very fancy hairstyle. They're both wearing traditional white sandals & white 2-toed socks.

What a beautiful, traditional Japanese bride!

Not sure if this is her mother or the photographer's assistant helping her.

Small wooden boat on the edge of the large lake that is in the center of this park.

Jack & Linda are resting at the top of a hill under the shade of a huge wooden parasol. They've only been here a few days, so are still suffering from jet lag . . .

From the top of the hill, looking into the garden & big buildings beyond. This park was created to represent every type of Japanese landscape, but in miniature.

Across the lake, we can see the bridal party near a teahouse.

Looks like they're going to be posing on the stone bridge that cuts across the middle of the lake.
