JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Passing by the back side of the park near our hotel.

And there's the huge pink rose bush.

Beautiful bird painting on a closed storefront.

Jazzy billboard.

Signs, signs, everywhere signs . . .

Tall, skinny ginko trees line some city streets of Kumamoto. We used to have one of these trees in our front yard at our house on 16th Avenue in Birmingham . . .

And a very wide street where the streetcar runs. Reminds me of Hiroshima.

Very interesting statues along the street.

And we're back on the expressway. Most cars stay in the slow lane except for passing. And of course the speed limit is a very sensible 80 kph - @ 50 mph.
