JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Back downtown, we found the famous Grimm - Music Box Hall that provides beautiful melodies composed by Isao Hashimoto, famous music box composer. Every 10 minutes this enchanting music is played for all to hear.

Music originates from inside this brick building with open archways.

Clock tower above.

There is also another smaller music box that will play a brief song for 100 yen.

Margie outside the music box hall.

Looking down Yanai's Retoro Street lined with white & pink dogwood trees.

Margie under a white dogwood tree. This wide street starts at Yanai train station & runs toward the traditional White Wall area of Yanai.

I love seeing dogwoods! We came here on Easter Sunday a few years ago with Nancy & Eldon . . .

VERY pink dogwood tree!

Me enjoying riding my bike. As you can see, it's still a little cool (very unusual).
