JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Riding around quiet back streets in Yanai. Stan wanted to ride up this very narrow road . . . just as wide as his bike is long!

At the top of a steep street (I declined to follow!) Stan found this monument to Doppo Kunikida as he rode around in Yanai's Traditional Structures Preservation District.

A view he saw from the top of a hill.

More interesting sights Stan found.

Bright pink azaleas.

Meanwhile, just past this cat, is as far as I rode up the sloping hill. Obviously, this cat is not accustomed to being disturbed on a sunny Sunday.

Someone's doorway on this small quiet street.

Pretty plants & cute cat statues.

On my way back down, the cat is now very irritated that I have disturbed his nap!
