Cute mailbox on Retoro Street in downtown Yanai.
Red phone booth.
We were wandering around & found a very narrow shopping street with wisteria growing over a doorway. Having our bikes was WONDERFUL! We were able to see so much more than we usually do & some places are just more accessible by bike . . .
Riding the walkway back from the White Wall area, toward the tour bus terminal & our car in the parking lot across the street.
One of the stone posts that help support the buildings' walls?
More flowers at the bus parking area. We asked the man who worked here why so many shops were closed today & he told us that the disaster has caused many business to go under - I sure hate to hear that & I'm glad we did a little shopping while were were here today.
Driving back on Hwy 188 as the late afternoon sun lights up the long Oshima Island Bridge up ahead.
A large ship passes under the bridge. Another fun day near Iwakuni, Yamaguchi, Japan.
