JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Passing houses on a hillside with family cemetery even higher up the hill.

Closer view of the large cemetery above the rooftops, where ancestors' bones are buried under elaborate stone markers.

Japanese characters represent a business name, perhaps?

Bright blue markers on the highway warn of an upcoming junction.

Oh - the bright orange open-sided tunnel. As you go through, you can look down into the Nishiki River below.
