JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Some of the beautiful decorations & Stan inside the rest area shop.

Margie (me!) buying some healthy snacks!

Gorgeous weeping cherry (or is it plum?) tree in the rest area parking lot.

Back on the road again - with banks of canola (also called rapeseed) flowers & cherry trees all around. Not only are canola flowers beautiful, but they are a big crop for their oil in Japan.

Short tunnel. There are many, many tunnels in Japan. It's a nice way to preserve the land above instead of just cutting it away.
