Interesting & colorful artwork outside a shop.
And looking inside, this piece reminds me of a very colorful saguro cactus in AZ, and it's contemporary design reminds me of my son's wife Lisa, who is an artist in Nashville, TN. I think she would like this very artsy little town.
Many beautiful Japanese gardens around town. This one has more primitive stone sculptures, and although it's November & a little chilly here in the mountains, there are still flowers blooming!
We got hungry and found a small restaurant. The menu was in Japanese, but that never stops us! We know enough Japanese now to just order what we like or ask for a lunch set. We've started with cold draft beer & were also served a little dish of someting yummy. Our wrapped hand-cleaning cloths were heated, which felt good!
We're sitting at the sushi bar & looking right through the glass at everything I want! Notice the wood boards on the shelf in front of the raw fish? That's right above our counter & where our sushi will be placed as we order.
