Our tour guide Yuji (you-gee) gives us instructions to help with our free time in Tsuwano. This is a beautiful little town surrounded by mountains, where the steam train route ends (although we got off early to pick apples, so went the rest of the way by bus.) We have a few hours here, but it's never enough here - there's MUCH more to do than we have time for! Read more info about Tsuwano RIGHT HERE if you're interested . . . This is our second or third day trip here, but I'd love to spend a weekend here sometime.
Interesting statues (and reflections) in a shop window.
Japanese garden with stone lanterns.
Cute items inside a shop. The 12 animals on the tray represent the Japanese zodiac. I should have bought some sets of these . . . You can click on the photo to zoom in, but don't forget to "arrow back" to return to the blog.
