JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Cute little girl. She was following some older children who climbed up a stone wall to this level, but she was not big enough to get up by herself.

So, her brother came back & lifted her up. The children were playing alone in the park. I saw them come from some houses behind the park. It's safe for children to play outside without adults here.

Camellias are considered winter flowers, but some are still in bloom here. We're riding around back of the park to go to get ice cream. It's too crowded today to cut through the middle of the park on our bicycles like we usually do.

A perfect cluster of cherry blossoms.

Wow - look at that crowd! Stan's in line for ice cream. That's him toward the left side - tall guy with big mustache & red shirt.
