JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! So of course there were folks whose job it is to run out and clean up all the balloon parts . . .

Carps at bat. They're NOT winning, but their fans are loyal anyway!

Not looking good for the Carp . . .

These seats are called "cushion seats" - where for a LOT of money, you have a large tatami area with a fat red cushion so you can stretch out, recline & watch the game.

We decided to leave a little early & we're walking around the stadium toward the exit. Above is a photo history of Hiroshima, Mazda & the Carps since 1950.

Oh I forgot about the RX-7! And the rotary engines . . .

We're not the only ones who left early . . .

Stan sleeping on the train on the way home. SOOOOO happy to have been to a Carps game!
