Looking into the kitchen. I LOVE that you can watch the chefs in most Japanese restaurants!
Fish tanks all around the restaurant, but the tongs are a reminder that these creatures are NOT just for looks . . .
These blue crabs were HUGE!
My lunch set was perfect & cool! Sashimi on a bowl of rice with little bits of other tasty goodies. Only the miso soup was hot. See the greens in the clear glass bowl?
We traded & he gave me his stewed pumpkin. Yum! Stan's favorite fish dinner set . . .
Back out on Hwy 188, you can see me in the mirror as I take a photo of the local train.
That train is interesting . . . ph - see the dolphin? Barbara sent it to me to hang from our rear-view mirror & I LOVE it! (Thank you Barbara - I miss you!)
Driving along Hwy 188 back toward Iwakuni. These homes on the left face the Seto Inland Sea. The narrow "bike lane" is for motorcycles, but frequently it's too slim for the larger ones.
We've stopped at Yellow Hat to look for floor mats for our car & found this cute kids' play area upstairs - wow!
Another fun Sunday drive . . .

Margie - yes, we do have bunny harnesses. Unfortunately we never got to try that... Our poor Simon is no longer with us. :( We miss him so much. But to tell the truth, he'd have hated that harness. Once he got a sticker on him by accident and hopped around like mad... thought we never would get that off. Not sure if he'd have gone for being harnessed!
PS. the food pics... OH! You are killing me! In the best possible way, of course. :) That looks great.
