JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Blue skies & bright green (rice?) fields here. Beautiful!

Whoops - here comes the rain again!

This lady across the aisle is tying up her bento (lunch box) in a beautiful cloth.

This is a very traditional way of carrying a package - and beautiful as well!

Wow - Look how high that river is!

Passing by the POLA factory/HQ?

Bright green rows of tea - in our area, tea only grows in higher locations, like mountainsides.

Flooded river & there's a typhoon headed our way later this week.

Off the Shinkansen now at Shin-Yokohama & headed for the local trains that will take us to Zama.

Stan's standing - it's crowded - but I was able to sit.
