Driving on Hwy 188 which goes under the Oshima Island bridge. The current through the pass is very swift here . . .
Stone entrance with lanterns alongside the highway.
Still on 188 heading to Hikari. It's about a 2 hour drive for us because we don't speed and always stop at McDonald's, but we're never in a hurry . . .
I guess we've never parked along the side of McDonald's in Yanai. I never realized they have a drive-thru! It's not very common here. This is a great place to stop for coffee & clean bathroom. And they always have classical music playing inside - which always reminds me of Eldon & Nancy (now living in Italy).
I got a latte but Stan had breakfast with his coffee.
Back on the road - I love this beautiful drive along the sea!
Never get tired of seeing these giant rocks alongside Hwy 188.
Look at those colors!
We're there! Goldfish & turtles eating bread someone has given them at the Hikari Market. It's a bright sunny day & still pretty hot.
The best area is under & around this huge tree! We didn't stay very long, but it was fun to look around & we ran into Betsy & Paul.
