JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! After we checked out of our hotel, we drove down into Tsuwano and followed the river beyond the horseback archery area (see that event in a previous posting this year) to look for "Hori Garden" - no luck, but we did find a rice farmer working in his field.

And a large flower garden in perfect rows.

And lush corn.

Driving back into town, we see the Taikodani inari jinja up on the hillside. We did not go up there this visit, but if you click RIGHT HERE, you can see photos & read more about this famous shrine. During a previous trip, we walked up the hillside through the 1000 torii gates.

One last potty stop at a convenience store before we leave town.
