JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Stan's loading our bikes back into the car. I REALLY appreciate his taking the effort to do this - primarily for me. I just can't walk as far as I can ride these days!

Pretty decorations front a tunnel.

We've stopped at Nishimura Joy in Otake - kinda like Home Depot in US. I like to buy "cat grass" for Sachi here and it's time also for me to plant more petunias on my BR balcony. Surely, the weather will warm up soon! I liked these interesting planters in the flower shop area.

And this one!

It's so beautiful here - I want to take it all home, but alas! My outside areas are limited.

Huge carp banners flying for upcoming Children's Day, during Golden Week holidays.

Hard to tell, but they are outlined with shimmery gold accents. Beautiful! Each fish signifies a boy in the family, and the size denotes age.
