JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Our waiter took this photo. See the rose? Stan asked the restaurant to have a vase on the table for a rose he was going to bring, but the restaurant owners insisted on providing the rose from a nearby flower shop. It's VERY fragrant - like the ones I used to grow in my rose garden.

Looking from our table toward the front of this small restaurant. That's our very attentive waiter (and I assume co-owner). I love the beautiful wood sculpture!

Our wonderful head chef / resident baker waves at me from the kitchen & behind a beautiful floral arrangement as our waiter looks on. They're the only ones I've ever seen here, so I assume they're husband & wife . . . ?

Bundled up & back out on the sidewalk downtown, riding toward home. It's not very crowded tonight, but there are always people walking around in Japan . . .

Back home - a closer view of this beautiful, fragrant, variegated rose. Thanks, Stan for a great birthday dinner!
