JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Our elevator was large, but not THAT large . . .

Wow - Look at the views from our room! That's a breakwater below with a small pier for water taxis to go in & out with passengers.

Looking toward Hiroshima Port over the trees.

I didn't take any pictures inside our room, but this small one is from the hotel website & it is exactly like our room on the 18th floor, except when we arrived, it was still daylight . . .

We've unpacked & gone to tour the rest of the hotel. Back down in the lobby, this is the statue in the middle of the lobby pool.

And you can clearly see the gold cross on the clear stand (in front of the Christmas tree) that's part of this wedding area. This is a "wedding hotel" and the bride and groom would get married on a platform in the middle of the water - beautiful!
