Looking at the opposite end of Tsuwano. Can you see the gigantic orange Torii up on the hillside? When we drove here a few years ago from Yamaguchi, we came into town from that direction. Tsuwano is surrounded by mountains.


Stan riding alongside the river in Tsuwano. We passed lots of residents walking along here, and I would not have been this far from downtown without my bike. I'm so glad we brought them! (Thanks, Stan!) The clouds have come out again & it's cooler.


Look at the goldfish design built into the sidewalk!


There are even little covered benches for resting and enjoying the view of the river and mountains beyond. Wouldn't this be a nice neighborhood to live in?
