And still we climb . . .


Wait - is that the entrance gate at the top???


Yep - and Stan is purifying his hands and face in preparation to enter the shrine area.


Wow - I can't believe we made it! I thought it would be MUCH more difficult than this! Our tour guide when we came a few weeks ago told us it was 1200 steps to the top, but he must have been counting just steps you walk, not STAIRS! And I'm not sure where that starts . . . maybe the stone torii in town near the bridge?
