JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! And more! There must be thousands of pink cosmos still in bloom!

Closer view shows a few white flowers as well. How lovely!

And an Asahi beer factory . . . ?

Someone's burning the stubble in their harvested rice field. This is a common sight in Japan.

We've never been in this part of Kyushu before. We've been all along the coastline, but never in the center where Mt Aso is located. We're only 38 km (23.6 miles) to Kumamoto, and that's where our hotel is. Mt Aso is beyond.
