JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Looking up to the roofline, I see ropes that guide the vines upward.

It's dinnertime, so we head over to Akiyama - not only our favorite sushi go-round, but the best one in town! All we have to do is walk in & sit down and (because we're here so often!) our favorites begin to appear in front of us! This is something new - sushi plates on cute little train car platforms. Sushi on platforms don't have wasabi.

Engine of the little train holds ebi (steamed shrimp).

Clean plates stacked up by color. Each dish is prepared quickly and perfectly.

Stan's favorite - very tiny (but delicious!) grilled steak.

Another yummy meal at Akiyama!
