Japan Maritime Self Defense Force Open House 9/19/10

It's the Japanese side's "Friendship Day" (Iwakuni is shared by American and Japanese forces) so we're going to check it out. We meant to get an earlier start - it's about noon & getting very HOT! We're riding our bikes around to the other side of base - maybe 2.5 miles? and here we're passing under the new tower.


We've arrived and decided to park our bikes, since it's very crowded. Those are above-ground steam pipes behind Stan. They run all over the base.
