JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! From outside, the modern glass building that houses the restaurant, craft room, gift shop and conference rooms at Flowerland.

Out near the entrance, here's one of the large paper Yanai goldfish decorations. I made one of these a few years ago at a class in Yanai's white wall district. Its "bones" are strips of bamboo, bent into circles.

And me (Margie) - we took turns! Note the traditional Japanese sliding doors behind us. It's really turned out to be a pretty day, after being so cloudy earlier.
