This is the last remaining Japanese bunker that's now a museum on base, with a beautiful cherry tree in full bloom out front. It's about 11 AM and we're on our bikes headed to the Kintai Bridge for the Sakura Festival today.
Cherries are blooming all over the base.
And that's Stan - just outside the gate. He's wearing his jacket because it's still a little chilly and breezy, but it should warm up once we get away from the seaside.
Beautiful flowers at 3-corners intersection.
Looking down from the first bridge at the lush gardens growing alongside the river, lined with old cherry trees. The weather has been unseasonably cool and rainy, but today is perfect.
