JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Fresh lily-of-the-valley & small white cherry sprig.

That's the sign on the door. Thank goodness for the blue -- like the awnings they used to have at their old location. I think this says, "Tokogowa" the restaurant's name.

A stone statue next door peeks out a window to the street.

And on the other side of the restaurant more stone statues. There are great landmarks to help find this restaurant. Of course the best landmark is the Colonel Sanders Chicken right across the street on Hwy 2. Maybe that's who the other statue is looking at . . .
Revived from our lunch, we check out the local toy store where we also don't find the world globe beachballs. I've even printed out a picture to be sure folks understand what I'm looking for. Maybe it's a seasonal item ? ? ?
